Local and homegrown yet well traveled, my expertise stretches from the City to the surrounding Counties. I grew up in Baltimore County and spent my school years in Towson and presently reside in Canton. My 10 minute commute to Federal Hill allows me the freedom to "roam" the City everyday for my clients. My degree in Marketing and experience in Sales gives me the edge to work with both Buyers and Sellers. Quality of service has been engrained in my business philosophy, as I previously spent 15 years in Sales and Management for Toyota Motor Sales.

I am committed to customer service and believe in doing it right the first time. I feel right at home assisting both first time buyers and empty nesters as I'm wedged right in between both age groups. With half a dozen full re-hab projects under my belt, I am more of a consultant to my clients than an agent. I am committed to dealing with my clients on their terms. There is never a timeline on finding the right property. Whether it's Buying or Selling, I look forward to being your agent.

Client Testimonials

Allison Kupec
From the very first home I looked at, when I was only mildly interested in purchasing a home, to the final hectic days leading right up to the settlement of my eventual home purchase, Tom Atwood was the consummate real estate professional. While never "pushy", he maintained just the right level of communication with me and he always accommodated my schedule for home viewings. Also, he was meticulous with his follow-up and he convinced me of his expertise in the Baltimore residential real estate market. As a result, in him I feel I had the best representation and a trusted ally from beginning to end.

I thought buying my first home was going to be an overwhelming process, but with the help of Tom Atwood from Long and Foster, I was pleasantly surprised. He was very patient with what I was looking for and at no point did I feel pressured to make a decision. His professionalism was a relief as was his ability to accommodate my hectic schedule. I was very educated throughout the process and it was clear that my best interest was always at the top of his list of priorities.

Dear Long & Foster Management,

I am writing to you to tell you about my experience in working with one of your associates, Tom Atwood, who is based in the Federal Hill Office. Having moved back to Baltimore from Washington DC in the summer of 2006, I was in need of an agent that had a good understanding of Baltimore City and was willing to search for that special home. Well, fortunately for me, Tom was recommended and we began our search in Federal Hill and Canton. Although I did not find a place that satisfied my requirements in these areas, I was able to land a new more lucrative job thanks to Tom. That's right! On one of the showings, I met a homeowner that was recruiting for a management position at a downtown firm. Shortly thereafter, I was hired at a higher salary and was able to continue my search for homes at a higher price level! Tom quickly provided me with new listings and was able to modify the search to meet my new requirements. After deciding that I wanted to change the search from the city to Baltimore County, Tom remained undaunted. He again modified our search and, after several months of not finding a home I wanted to buy, we landed a gem in Perry Hall. Not only that, Tom negotiated $10,000 off the listing price even though the sellers had a full price offer along with mine. Still not sure today how he managed that! And on top of that, Tom arranged a second home appraisal at no extra cost to me after the first appraisal was done as a drive-by only. This saved me several thousand dollars at settlement.

Anyhow, I think what separates Tom from other agents is that he is willing to go that extra mile--literally--for his clients. Tom had no problem checking out new locations or changing our search parameters. Tom also provided me with a lot of his time even though my price range was at $300k and I knew he had listings above $1 million to handle as well. With most agents, people like me would be lost in the shuffle. And what else stands out is that Tom not only gave sound advice as to what homes to look for, but he was willing to speak out when there were homes that I should stay away from. I plan to stay in my home for several years but it goes without saying, my first call will be to Tom when I move. I'd also say that people looking for their first home or whether they're upsizing or downsizing should call Tom. Lastly, I'd like to commend Long & Foster for providing agents with Tom's experience, professionalism and level of dedication.

Sincerely,

Mark J. De Angelis
